What was the name of the ship Jacques Cousteau used for much of his work?
The famous diver obtained the vessel which would become Calypso in 1950. Originally used for minesweeping, it would serve as Cousteau's research ship throughout his career. It met its unfortunate end outside Singapore when it was accidentally hit by another ship and sunk. Source: Biography, CNN
