When was the first Cadbury chocolate factory opened?
The Cadbury chocolate legacy began with John Cadbury, who sold cocoa and drinking chocolate at his Birmingham shop in 1824. Seven years later, he would open a factory in Crooked Lane. The signature Cadbury Creme Egg was first marketed in 1971, though the company had produced similar confections as far back as the 1920's. Source: Cadbury, Kitchn
